The story of one family's tragic struggle
during the waning days of the American Civil War.
During the last days of the Civil War on a Carolina Plantation
the last son of a plantation owner believes that his father has
been murdered by his ruthless uncle who has taken over the family
estate and control of his family's lives. Jared's Uncle Seth,
a Federal Marshall who acts as judge, jury, and executioner,
drives Jared to the point of insanity. Jared becomes paranoid
and delusional when he is betrayed by his closest friends and
family. His only hope is a mysterious lady that he longs to love.
From historic style battles to intense
high noon style gun slinging, The film is described as "Gods
and Generals" and "Ride with the Devil" meets
"Young Guns" and "The Quick and the Dead".
The script is categorized as a western style action/drama with
a mild touch of a love story underlying.
In simple terms, a Shakespearean style tragedy set in the old
south.
